Training – Supervision of the Team Working on the “Corporate Volunteering” Project

The training takes place after six months of the team’s work with children and allows participants to deepen and expand their knowledge, analyze difficult situations and mistakes. The training also covers topics such as stages of building friendship with a child, conflict resolution, sensitive issues, and beneficial activities with the child.

Corporate Volunteering Training Program

Training participants are employees of a company committed to the principles of corporate volunteering. During the training, the principles of teamwork are discussed with consideration of the company’s specific activities, rules for working within a volunteer group, psychological characteristics of children living in residential care institutions, as well as topics on myths and stereotypes about orphans in modern society and the specifics of socialization for children from institutional care.

Training Program for Mentor Candidates

Participants of the training gain the knowledge necessary for individual work with a child in a residential (institutional) care setting.
During the training, we explore the psychological characteristics of orphans, the needs of children in institutional care, stages of child development, specifics of development for orphaned children and those raised in institutions, who a mentor or “big friend” is, how to build trusting and friendly relationships with a child, challenging behaviors, effective communication (rules and techniques), difficulties in one-on-one work with a child, and more.

The training is organized by the Center for Social Services for Families, Children and Youth.

Training “Help the Right Way”

Participants explore the psychological characteristics of children of different ages, their needs, what is essential for a child deprived of parental care, how to support orphans in the right way, what it means to be a volunteer-guide for a child living in a residential institution, and much more.

NGO "Detdom.info Team" organizes additional training sessions on working with children upon request from interested parties.
